Happy birthday to Weird Al Yankovic who celebrates his birthday today. Yankovic was born on 23 October 1959 in Downey, California.

Yankovi is best known for the spoofs he creates, by taking popular songs and substituting the lyrics for hilarious gems of his own. He has won 3 Gammiy Awards for his songs. Some of his spoof songs include: Pretty Fly for a Rabbi (original: Pretty Fly for a White Guy), Amish Paradise (Gangster’s Paradise), I love Rocky Road (I love Rock and Roll) The Saga Begins (American Pie) and Another one Rides the Bus (Another one bites the dust).

“Die Lewe is ‘n Kaaskrul” is a South African comic/web-comic in Afrikaans Kaaskrul plays on words with illustrative graphics. It is also available in English as  “Life  is a Cheese Curl”. I find the website very amusing. While I was abroad, I enjoyed receiving the Afrikaans jokes in e-mails from friends.
